Happy Birthday Indiana Poetry Contest!

Write a poem about Greene County!

Help our state celebrate its 200th birthday by submitting a poem, capturing the essence of our county, to be considered for inclusion in a book of poetry containing at least one poem from each of the ninety-two counties. The book will be published by Brick Street Poetry Inc. for the Indiana Bicentennial Celebration

Poem should be:
40 lines or less.
In any form or in free verse.

Poetry Contest Open to:
Any resident of Greene County who has lived here at least one year.
Any nonresident who was born in Greene County and lived here for at least twelve years

Submit to the adult desk by September 18!

Winners will be asked to read their essays at the
Literacy Coalition annual meeting/dinner on Tuesday Sep. 23 at 6:30 at the Pepperoni Grill in Bloomfield

Contest is for High School Seniors in Greene County
Essays Should not Exceed 250 Words
Essays are Due Thursday Sept. 11
